Gym Floor & Pool Updates - 24 February 2016
We have been working very hard in the background to fully restore the remaining damage from the flood.
We now have confirmation that the tiles that have been removed have been fully tested and decontaminated. It will be our intention to start the process of relaying the tiles from Friday. This will, if nothing else, serve as a temporary floor whilst the permanent solution is ordered from the supplier, Pavigym. (Unfortunately, Pavigym is based in Spain and the lead time for tiles is many weeks… hence the need for a temporary solution). The current concrete is being cleaned on a daily basis and the dust is also being controlled. We have confirmation that there is no current health risk from excess dust, (as this is not the case), or contamination, (as this has been sterilised), but in any case shall be covered and as back to normal as we can (temporary or otherwise).
All pools are now
fully back to operation and have been successfully tested by our third party
testing laboratory. The replacement and restoration of the ceiling is in
progress, with alternative options being considered.
We would like to
thank you all for your patience during this time and would also like to again
thank the Next Gen team that have assisted for their fast and diligent actions
during and after the incident.
We will keep you updated.
