About Our Classes

The Next Gen Memorial Drive timetable is packed with over 100 group classes each week, that are designed to keep you moving and motivated. Take one of the many fun fitness classes available, from strength and conditioning to mind-body, dance, high energy HIIT classes, yoga, mat Pilates, and cycling.

Our Classes

Body Flow

Body Flow and Step Body Flow combines dance cardio and fitness moves to improve and challenge coordination, flexibility and strength, followed by yoga style stretching exercises.

BODYPUMP®

Get ready to work in our Les Mills BODYPUMP class using full-body training with low to medium weights and high repetitions to effectively build all muscle groups.

Boxing

Release some stress and increase your fitness with a Boxing class that combines boxing drills and combinations in a fun and safe environment. Suitable for all levels.

Cardio Combo

This high energy class uses aerobic exercises, drills, sequences and routines to challenge your cardiovascular fitness. This is combined with powerful strength moves, to help tone and strengthen the body. A great all over body workout!

Core

This class is a mixture of plyometric, static, low / high intensity strength exercises, which challenge your fitness and improve core strength. It incorporates Pilates and Yoga principles. It is perfect for increasing powerful legs, glutes and core.

HIIT

Our HIIT classes are a powerhouse workout that combines bursts of intense exercise with short recovery periods, delivering maximum results in minimal time. Join us for an exhilarating, full-body workout designed to torch calories, boost metabolism, and push your limits to new heights.

Pump

Pump is a freestyle weight class that uses hand held weights, barbells and hand held weight plates to blast all major muscle groups. This class will help improve strength; muscle tone and will help shape the body.

Revive

Revive involves a fun low impact class that focuses on balance, coordination, mobility and timing. The class concludes with 30 minutes of breathing, stretching and rejuvenating exercises suitable for all fitness levels.

Step

Fast workout with choreographed moves on and around the step to develop cardiovascular fitness and coordination.

Step/Strength

This interval style class uses simple step moves, power and repetition to create a high cardiovascular workout, teamed with power strength moves that will help tone and shape the body.

Strength

Strength uses a variety of equipment and bodyweight exercises to help tone, shape and strengthen the body.

Summit

Experience The Summit, Next Gen’s very own altitude training studio. By simulating high altitude environments, you achieve more in less time with less effort from your workouts. See for yourself.

Zumba®

Come and join the party! Zumba is a really fun cardio workout that uses popular dance moves and catchy music to get you moving and sweating. Suitable for all levels.

RPM™

Go for a spin with our Les Mills RPM class. With great music pumping and the group cycling as one, your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding.

Stages Cycling

An interactive big-screen experience that allows you to race against yourself and/or other members, monitor your heart rate, perform FTP testing, complete real-world routes and train with the support and encouragement of fellow members and an enthusiastic cycling instructor.

Stages Virtual

Create your own experience through a guided ride on screen with different tracks alternating between flat roads and hill climbs to ensure you are working different zones of your heart rate. Your bike will appear on screen to show you what you need to aim for. It is 45mins of pure cycling.

Pilates

Our Pilates classes use specialised mat exercises to improve core stability, abdominal and back strength, flexibility, and posture. With four different class types available, we cater to all members, ranging from those with impaired mobility to our more experienced Pilates enthusiasts.

Stretch and Flow

Aimed at increasing overall flexibility through a combination of movement-based stretch sequences as well as static held stretches. This class incorporates elements of Yoga, Pilates and Ballet stretches. Suitable for all fitness levels.

Yoga

Whether you like to meditate, relax or flow our yoga classes have varying styles to cater for beginners to advanced yogis. Choose from our Sunrise Vinyasa Flow Yoga Class, Restorative Yin Yoga, Hatha Yin Yoga and more.

Aqua Cardio

A cardio and strength endurance workout using movement in water, stationary exercises, and aquatic equipment, to challenge your cardiovascular fitness, flexibility and muscle strength. Suitable for all fitness levels.

Aqua Strength/Pilates

These Aqua classes are water-based workouts that use a combination of stationary strength based exercises that focus on core, upper and lower body muscle groups. Pilates classes focus on posture, flexibility, strength, balance and breath. Classes are suitable for all fitness levels.
