Air Conditioning Malfunction – Updated 18 February 2026
We’re happy to report that significant improvements have been made to our air conditioning system. Since installing the new valve and actuator on February 3, the system’s production has increased by 60%, allowing us to return the air conditioning to normal operation. We’ve received great feedback from members, with some even saying it’s now too cold!
Further maintenance to improve the chiller unit will take place this Thursday, 19 February, and after this, we will remove the portable units and focus entirely on proactive maintenance.
Thank you for your patience as we continue working to ensure a comfortable environment for all.

Air Conditioning Malfunction – Updated 29 January 2026
Through extensive research, trial and error, and determination, we’ve implemented a number of interim measures to reduce heat in the gym. These include the addition of 12 temporary cooling units, extending system operating hours, hourly monitoring of our chiller and air-conditioning units, recording inlet and outlet temperatures, making reactive adjustments to set points, and introducing a heat-management checklist for our Duty Managers.
As a result of these measures, we’ve successfully maintained temperatures between 18-20°C during all operating hours for more than three weeks, with new parts scheduled for installation on Thursday 5 February.
It was also fantastic to have Josh and the Juvo team on the gym floor dishing out refreshing, nutritious smoothies as a complimentary treat for our members. We hope you enjoyed them as much as we loved providing them.
We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support.

We would like to sincerely apologise for the ongoing air conditioning issues, particularly during this hot weather.
Unfortunately, we have been advised that the replacement parts that we have been waiting for will not arrive until the first week of February. We understand this is frustrating, please be assured we are doing everything we can to manage the current conditions and to get these parts fixed asap. This includes additional fans and portable air-conditioning units throughout the café, gym floor, and squash courts, ongoing adjustments to airflow and system settings. Our air-conditioning engineer is exploring further options and manual adjustments to help improve the current situation.
We’ll keep this post updated as the repair progresses, so please bookmark this page.
We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support.

Air Conditioning Malfunction – Updated 7 January 2026
We are currently managing a temporary air conditioning issue within the club. Replacement parts have been ordered and are expected to arrive next week, with installation scheduled as soon as they are received.
In the meantime, we’ve put several measures in place to help maintain comfort and safety throughout the club. These include 10 portable cooling units, increased airflow, operational adjustments to reduce heat build-up, and greater access to cold water and hydration stations. Our Duty Managers are actively monitoring conditions throughout the day and adjusting as needed.
We understand this isn’t ideal, particularly during warmer weather, and we genuinely appreciate your patience. If at any time the temperature feels uncomfortable, please speak with a member of our team. We’re always happy to assist, including helping you modify your session where possible.
